Terms of service

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Catalizo, the company that makes CatzPrint. By creating an account or using CatzPrint — the website, console, apps or API — you agree to them. If you use CatzPrint for an organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it. A separate signed agreement with us takes priority over these terms where they differ.

2. Accounts and sign-in

• You sign in with your email address and a 6-digit code we send you. Keep access to your email secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• Turn on two-factor sign-in for extra protection. An organization can require it for its team; platform administrators must use it.
• Give us accurate details and keep your email address up to date.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account, your API keys and your paired devices. Tell us straight away if you think one has been misused.

3. Organizations, teams and individuals

Every account comes with a personal workspace. Businesses create organizations and invite team members with roles (owner, admin, developer, operator, viewer). People can also join an organization as individuals with its join code, to print to the printers it shares. The organization's owners decide who may join, which printers are shared, what stations show, and can disable stations, locations and printers at any time.

4. Plans, free prints and payment

• Every account gets 5 free prints each month. Unused prints don't roll over.
• Paid plans and top-ups are shown on our pricing page. Business plans are charged per station and per 1,000 prints. Prices exclude taxes, which we add where required.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal.
• When you run out of prints, new jobs are refused until you upgrade or top up. We don't charge for prints you didn't send.
• Jobs sent with a test API key are free, within the daily test limit.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. The change applies from your next billing period.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't use CatzPrint to:

• print or send anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights;
• send to printers you aren't allowed to use;
• try to get around rate limits, print limits or security controls, or access other people's accounts or data;
• overload, probe or disrupt the service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows;
• resell CatzPrint without a written agreement with us.

6. Your content

You own the documents, templates and other content you put into CatzPrint. You give us permission to store, convert, encrypt and deliver that content only as needed to provide the service to you. You're responsible for having the right to print what you send. How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy.

7. API, keys and integrations

• Keep API keys and webhook secrets private. Don't put them in web pages or apps that other people can download.
• Respect the rate limits in our documentation. We may slow down or block traffic that harms the service for others.
• Check the signature on every webhook before trusting it.

8. Station apps and updates

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the CatzPrint apps with the service. Desktop station apps install updates automatically after checking their signature. The Android app offers updates that you can choose to install. The iPhone and iPad app is updated through the App Store.

9. Service availability and changes

We work hard to keep CatzPrint running and publish live information on our status page. We don't promise the service will never be interrupted unless we've agreed a service level with you in writing. We improve CatzPrint all the time; if we remove a feature you rely on, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

10. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using CatzPrint and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account or organization that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or hasn't paid — we'll tell you why and, where it's safe to, give you a chance to fix it first. After closure we delete your data as described in our privacy policy.

11. Responsibility and liability

CatzPrint is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for CatzPrint in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

12. Changes to these terms

When we update these terms we change the date at the top. For significant changes we'll tell account owners at least 30 days before they apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Catalizo is established, unless a written agreement with you says otherwise.
